Performance Task 2: Given the outcomes mentioned in the performance task above, the goals you set, and the management plan you created, develop a 30 day plan starting with the first day of school to ensure that we have a strong start to our school year. How will you know if we are on the right track to meet our goals? Performance Task 3: It is the third week of school and you receive an email from the parent below. 1. For each email, draft a response 2. For each email, outline the steps you will take after you respond Hello, I’ve called the main office a couple of times now but it seems like no one can answer my question. I received a call this morning letting me know that my child has been pulled out of class and that he will not be returning to class until some kind of an investigation is complete. What is the investigation? Who is doing this “Investigation”? Why is my child being pulled out of class and why are you not waiting for the parent to be present during the investigation? I am extremely upset. I cannot leave work to come to school but no one is able to answer my questions! Please email me back today before the end of the day to let me know what is happening. I cannot talk on the phone because of my work! I think it is very unprofessional to have one of your people leave a non descriptive voicemail about my child and then not answer when I call back the same day! Hello, I want to start by saying that this email might catch you off guard because I am usually very happy at Mansueto, but the last couple of weeks have really made me feel like I may not be the right person for this job. I get that we have a lot of support but there is just so much to do. I know our Dean of Instruction is supposed to support us but I feel like I just have to turn things in all the time and as soon as I miss something I get in trouble. I’ve gotten more emails from her than the times she\’s been in my classroom. People are constantly looking at my grade book and talking to me about my GPAs but no one is coming up with a solution for the GPA. There is just so much to do and I cannot think of any more ways to inspire kids to come to school. I’ve been teaching for 5 years but now it feels like year 1 all over again. I am not sure that I can make it like this for the rest of the school year. This is not how a veteran teacher’s experience should be and the systems at Mansueto aren\’t helping.

Performance Task 4: As an Assistant Principal managing two grade levels, you will be faced with many competing priorities. Please take a look at the priorities below and rank them in order of importance (1 – most important and something you would do right away, 5, least important and something that can wait). Assume that all of these are happening moments from one another. ?

Scenario: You are about to meet with your Dean of Instruction for your weekly check in, but a parent who you have been trying to get to come in for the past 2 weeks to talk about their child’s performance, just walked into the main office to transfer her student. ?

Scenario: On your way to a meeting, your Dean of Discipline sends you a message telling you she has information that there is a fight planned to take place right after school across the street. ?

Scenario: On your way to a meeting you notice a student walking back to class from the bathroom who is in tears. ?

Scenario: On your way to a meeting the principal sends you a message wanting to talk to you about a parent complaint. ?

Scenario: On your way to a meeting you look at your phone and realize that you had a phone interview scheduled with a really strong math teacher. It starts in 5 minutes.
