Requirements

  1. In order to prepare your personal leadership paper, you will need to complete your StrengthsFinder self-assessment available through your required textbook:
    • Rath. T. & Conchie, B. (2013). Strengths based leadership: Great leaders, teams, and why people follow. New York, NY: Gallup, Inc. (Should be able to find online for free) Also use these authors as references.
  1. You will also require access to the following databases: CINAHL, MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, and the Joanna Briggs Institute in order to secure scholarly evidence in support of leadership assertions made in your paper.
    • Use the ‘Library Guides’ link on the left navigation panel of your course. From there you can go to the library main page to search, and there is also a helpful link for ‘How to Search’.
  2. The Personal Leadership Paper is worth 250 points and will be graded on quality of information, use of citations, use of Standard English grammar, sentence structure, and overall organization based on the required components as summarized in the directions and grading criteria/rubric.
  3. Create your manuscript using Microsoft Word 2007 (a part of Microsoft Office 2007) or later version, which is the required format for all Chamberlain College of Health Professions documents. You can tell that the document is saved as a MS Word 2007 document because it will end in “.docx”
