Project Plan Overview: A description of the project, The problem/result statement, A mission justification, High-level scope and how you expect to measure the success of the project

Project Plan Overview that includes the following: 1. A description of the project including a clear and meaningful project objective. Include a description of the organization; you may choose a real organization (e.g., your employer) or may devise a fictitious organization (e.g., “McFall High Quality Pet Products”). If you use your own organization, please do not include any information that is confidential, proprietary, or privileged. 2. The problem/result statement. (What problem is the project going to solve or opportunity will it achieve?) 3. A mission justification. (How does the project relate to the mission and goals of your organization?) Note that you need to state your organization’s mission statement in order to link the project to the mission. 4. High-level scope. Please review the description of the components of a project scope in Chapter 4 of Gray & Larson (2011, 5th edition) and include each of the components of the project scope checklist in your high-level scope description. 5. A brief description of how you expect to measure the success of the project. You should include both elements that indicate if the project is successful (e.g., did you meet your project budget goals) as well as if the product of the project was successful (e.g., will customer satisfaction surveys be used to determine if your customers like a new computer system you have developed). The project I have chosen consists of planning, organizing, staging and moving product from a multi-billion dollar warehousing and distribution company from an old building to a new state of the art facility. Planning would need to be prepared for signage, warehouse racking placement, warehouseman selector picking routes, freezer, cooler and dry product placement. Incorporated into this will be dealing with contractors whom are completing the building and contacting all vendors and suppliers to inform them of the change of location and service changes during the two day transition period. The actual moving of all product will take 16 hours, 30 employees on two shifts at 2 locations.
