Here is what i have so far:
Vintage Ads Sean P French Devry Uiversity Has anyone seen those walgreens commercials where they talk about “somewhere in a world called “perfect”? Where there is a walgreens on every corner? Aprroximately 7 years ago a place called perfect exsisted, as least on television and radio advertising, ie..”A
perfect Christmas”, “A town called perfect.” The voiceover goes on to explain that because, “Because we don’t live anywhere near Perfect, there is a Walgreens to provide everything needed in the real world.” Far beyond the reach of cell phones and superhighways lays an idealistic Norman Rockwellesque town known as Perfect, U.S.A. This is its story… The Town of “Perfect” Wagreens is the pharamacy ideal for these reasons: 24 hour a day avasilabitly, and the second best place to be this side of perfect. In this advertisement, emotion is used effectively for appeal.
The story represented in the ad is possible return to the days gone by. When things were simplier. The music represents all the things in a people’s lives that are now resigned to a better time. Kind of like a soundtrack to their lives. The images seen represent everything possibily done in everyone one’s lives. It takes you through different seasons of their lives, almost envoking a time of innocence.
