I have written my paper proposal and received feedback from my instructor. I need a Final Paper expanding on my topic. Below is the feedback I received from my professor: 1. The proposal is a very good topic, and you’ve laid out a good framework to look at various angles and contrast with the case of Kosovo. 2. Not sure if it will fit in, but the Russian intervention into Georgia (2008) might also offer some parallels to look at. 3. The sources look a bit thin, and need to have full/proper citation. Fox News is not an ideal source, though you can certainly use it for some small anecdotes (as you might CNN, MSNBC, etc.) Mainly, you want to be looked at more academic/policy literature. The instructions are as follow: Write a 16 page paper, double spaced focusing on Crimea and how they have ignited battle to break away from Ukraine and attain self rule and everything beforehand leading up to this event. Include the information provided by the instructor. I will upload my paper proposal to incorporate in this Final Term Paper.
In the Development module, you are being introduced to a variety of instruments used to measure and compare human well-being, quality of life, and development on a global scale (e.g., the Human Development Index, GDP/GNP, Gross National Happiness Index, Millennium Development Goals progress). Choose any two instruments and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each. You may do so by analyzing a concrete case–for example, the strengths and weaknesses of comparing one country\’s HDI versus its MDG progress–or in a more abstract sense–for instance, what is revealed and what is hidden in general by each instrument. Write one substantive paragraph on each of the two instruments you discuss, for a total of two paragraphs. Helpful websites for data on specific country results and the measuring instruments include:http://www.developmentdata.org/inequality.htm http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/http://hdr.undp.org/en/statistics/hdihttp://rprogress.org/sustainability_indicators/genuine_progress_indicator.htmhttp://www.transparency.org/gcb2013/ http://www.grossnationalhappiness.com/http://www.happyplanetindex.org/
