This will be a 1-2 single spaced page essay in which you will identify what you have learned about technology in society and culture and how it reinforces or alters your initial perceptions. See grading rubric on page 2.

  1. What you found most interesting: Discuss two concepts or ideas that you found most interesting about this course. This can be a specific term we learned, or a broader idea that was introduced in an article or the text book. Explain the term/idea and explain why you found this concept particularly interesting.


  1. Figuring out what you know now! You do not need to directly cite the text, but incorporate ideas you have learned throughout the semester. This section does not need to exceed a single spaced page, so you can briefly answer these questions demonstrating your newly aquired knowledge about technology in society and culture.

    2. Do you think technology influences society and culture?
    3. How do you think culture and society influence technology?
    4. Who do you think benefits from technology?
      1. Do some people benefit from more than others?
    5. Who do you think is disadvantaged by technology?
      1. Are some people more disadvatnaged than others?


  1. Changes and confirmations. Identify and explain how your answer to one of the questions from section 2 has changed having taken this course. (Revisit your essay from the first week of class). If none of your answers have changed, explain in-depth how your answer to one question has become more nuanced.
